how can i get my life back on track?
im a 15 year old girl and i feel like my life’s just completely falling apart.
when i was 6 i was molested by my school caretaker. he told me it was my fault, so i didnt tell anyone what was happening. it was just like this massive secret from the world, and it made me feel so alone and no-one knew i was hurting.
i started to look for a way to show people how i was feeling, so i stopped eating and lost loads of weight. when i was 10, i was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa and a year later i was taken into a pediatric ward, and then an eating disorder treatment centre.
recovery’s been really hard. physically, im better but emotionally im only half way there. i’ve been to so many therapists, lots of stopped treating me because i can’t give them the control over what i eat, and if i dont like a therapist, i’ll leave. im seeing a psych at the moment, and im prescribed 40mg prozac/day.
i also went through a phase of cutting myself, and i’ve tried to kill myself 3 times – and been hospitalized each time.
i just feel like im completely stuck in a rut, i can’t stop the pain, and i can’t get out. i’ve been in and out of care, becasue my parents can’t handle it. i feel like no-one can help me now, so many people have given up on me.
i just dont know what to do anymore. i need some help.

I understand what you’re going through. i was in a rut for the longest time, but i’ve managed to escape it!
I just made it a point to make more friends and spend more time doing things I used to like. I try not to let stuff get to me, and if i am having a bad day i talk to someone I know cares about me
and even doing little things that I used to love, like friendship bracelets, helps a lot too
I know it may feel as if the world has givin up on you, but trust me, it gets better.
a year ago I was ready to end it all, and i tried, but now i’m glad that I’m still around

The best way to help your self is by helping others. I know this may sound crazy, but when I compare my life to others I usually end up seeing how lucky and blessed I really am! Go to homeless shelter or volunteer at a pediatric hospital! Visit a burn center, get out of your own life and step into someone else’s. I promise you will want your own life.

all i can tell you is thatyou have to keep seein the doctors, get yourself involved in fitness, track, yoga, tennis, whatever, stay active and it will keep your head from over thinking, i say this because since i was 10 i got picked on in school, i eventually got bigger where nobody messed with me, but that feeling of weakness and being so vulnerable, not knowing what to say or how to respond, how to defend myself, i did a lot of dumb things you should never do to fit in with people, im 21 now, im a bodybuilder, i work full time, even though its not the best job, it keeps me busy, but lifting weights really makes me happy, i feel like nobody can touch me, i feel the best when im at the gym, even though i still have severe depression. i strongly reccommend for you to keep seein your doctors, take al your medecine, find a sport you would like to try and go for it, it really helps me, i hope you try and find something that works for you, take care though i wish the best for you.

OK, I think i know what is wrong with you. Its that the man that molested you is still out there. Tell someone. If you dont see the end of this then you will stay in the condition you are in. Do whatever you can to have him put in jail, and only then will your life begin to fully get "Back on Track". But be careful, this is a very complex process that will send you into an emotional disaster, but in the end you will be able to begin the healing process.

Although you say you have received help you do not say whether you told them about the abuse. It was not your fault but I am sure you know that now but do you really accept it,deep down? It really was not your fault. I know someone with similar problems to you and have been helping her and it is one year since she self harmed.it can be done ,never give up hope. Out there is someone who will help you perhaps a friend you haven’t met yet. One day you will meet that friend and they wont give up on you,just as I have not given up on my young friend. This caretaker is still influencing your life ,don’t let him do it anymore,what he did is in the past make sure you control your future by fighting the urge to SH and really accepting it was all his fault. Do you know it is still not too late to report him to the police if that is what you feel like doing?

so sorry to hear about your past, i have never been in a situation like that and would never wish it upon anybody. for that i’m very sorry.
but to write it down and let other people know about it your well on the road to recovery. i once knew a girl who was on what i called self destruction, she pushed every body that loved her away, and by the sounds of it your doing the same. just take each day as it comes, don’t have a plan. the way i used to cope with things when i was stressed was to write anything i was feeling down any thing and everything no matter how small or relevant and once i was done i would set it alight. a bit like a ceremony where you could let things go. talk to your mum/ dad tell them what your feeling.
don’t feel that your alone, your family does love you and will all ways be there for you.
also when you speak to your therapist ask them weather there any body that you could talk to that has been in the same situation, for you to see how they moved on.
