"Being There" probably, though I love the Pink Panther movies from the 1970s ("Not NOW, Cato!") and "Dr. Strangelove" was certainly a tour de force performance. I loved Peter Sellers. And always thought it was so cool that he and George Harrison were good friends, too. I was on a bus trip in the summer of 1980, and was sitting in a little diner outside San Francisco having breakfast when I saw in the newspaper that he’d died. I was otherwise having a good time, but that news sure ruined that day.

Does watching 'Lawrence of Arabia' make you feel warmer on a cold night?

Sorry about that. I should have chosen the original ‘The flight of the Phoenix’ with Jimmy Stewart.

Not at all. It is a racist movie in which a European plays an important role in the history of the Middle East while the local people have no identity or intelligence whatsoever. They don’t even have any individuality – you can not distinguish one Arab from another Arab. The only person who has an identity, character, intelligence and feelings is the main character (a European). It is a RACIST movie but it is done with a great deal of talent, so it is entertaining and makes every white person feel good about himself.

How can I cure the shooting yips?
I have developed what I can only describe as the yips. I am unable to hold a good pattern on any of my rifles. Before I was holding one inch and under groupings and now, I seem to be lucky to get six-inch groupings. I had another shooter try my rifles and they shot perfectly so it is something that I am doing. This is making me hesitant to go into the field because obviously I want humane kills. What do you think may have caused this and what can I do to alleviate it? Thank you for any opinions.

Practice, practice, practice…

breath control
correct sight picture
smooth trigger squeeze and follow through
focus on the point of impact… not the target

You could be flinching. One round at a time, have a friend at the range load your gun, & hand it to you to shoot. Have him slip in a snap-cap (dummy round) at some point without telling you. If you flinch when the hammer drops & there’s no ‘bang’, there’s your problem.

Then work on curing that.

It sounds to me like you’re anticipating the shot, and jerking the trigger, which causes you to get poor accuracy.
I had a similar problem when I got my high power long range hunting rifle.
I got a super-recoil reducing buttstock pad, and started wearing thin shooting gloves to reduce my feeling on the trigger, and loaded up some lower power rounds to practice with until I built myself up to being able to handle the substantial recoil.
My accuracy improved dramatically in short order, and I was able to ditch the gloves in about 2 weeks (200 rounds or so).
The glove reduces your feel on the trigger, making it super necessary to be conscious of the proper trigger squeeze, so that the firing of the round is a surprise, enhancing accuracy.
Alternatively, switch to a lighter caliber rifle, practice your basics – breathing control, proper form, sight picture, sight alignment, and trigger control, and you’ll be back in the black in short order.
Shooting is a tangible skill. If you don’t practice, you’ll get out of practice fast, forget your basics, and accuracy will suffer significantly.

You may mean flinching where you move the gun by jerking as you fire. Flinching is a natural response to protect you.
There are some ways to lessen this. Here is a forum talking about it;
http://mp-pistol.com/boards/lofiversion/ index.php?t22191.html

How I got my brother over this was handloading duds (spent primer no gun powder) today you can buy snap caps to do the same thing. You have a friend load the rifle for you and each time hs changes the pattern of live round or snap cap. You will anticipate recoil and when you pull the trigger on a snap cap there is no recoil or boom and you will jerk the rifle and see what you are doing. As long as your brian thinks its going to go off you will flinch. It will take some time and concentration but you can get over this.
If you can, find the least weight round and powder charge. Some sell reduced recoil rounds.
If say you shooting a 30-06 don
